Cuff'd or Curv'd was founded by Mufaro Matose, a filmmaker from Cincinnati, and produced through Matose Visuals. The card game came first. The events came because the game needed somewhere to live. The street interviews came because the conversations were too good to keep to ourselves. The show on Tubi is what happens when you put all three on camera.

It's all the same project. Cincinnati's Black love story isn't going to be told by a dating app — it's told by the same people who've always told it. We're just one node in that network, trying to put more Black singles in the same rooms.
